                       Welcome to Finca Inti

We are a permaculture family farm located on the Caribbean
coast of Costa Rica.
Our name
Inti is related to warmth and farmers good harvest and it means sun god in the language of the ancient Inca civilization.

We settled on the land in 2006. At that time the it was
an abandoned plantain farm and  a wonderful adventure it has been transforming it through permaculture design into a beautiful and diverse farm.

Many timber trees have been planted, and great effort
has been made to plant those species that are in danger.
A corridor was established to respect the wild life
that is here and many trees have been planted there
to produce food for those animals.

We have planted an immense array of fruit trees
with a wide variety of origins from the local
traditional crops and spices to exotic fruit trees
from Southeast Asia.
The latter have been brought into the country over
the years through government assistance
or private enthusiasts.

As a family we are also occupied with planting edible crops.
Our gardens have different types of yams, plantains,
a nice number of cooking herbs ,medicinal plants,
and beautiful flowers for our child to play with and admire.
